I host two very different podcasts, each with an amazing co-host.
If you had asked me back in 2017 whether I would ever embody the millennial stereotype of starting a podcast, I would have laughed at you. Now I’ve done it twice over! In both cases, it took the right person coming along with the right opportunity to collaborate—and the result is some of the best work I have ever produced!
In 2018, my friend Rebecca moved to Montréal. We had been talking about starting a podcast together for a while, and in December 2018 we finally made it happen. I don’t think I would ever have started a podcast with anyone else—Becky and I complement each other—and compliment each other—so well. I love every conversation the two of us have—and you are just lucky enough that we record them sometimes.
We Just Like to Talk is a general-interest podcast that explores whatever topic we want to discuss. We talk television and pop culture, friendship and dating, and books we’ve both read. Lately, we’ve begun having guests on the show too! Our conversations are always thoughtful, insightful, and compassionate.

In 2021, my friend Stephanie invited me to start a Buffy the Vampire Slayer rewatch podcast. She said she couldn’t think of anyone she would rather have as a co-host for this adventure, and who was I to say no to that? We release a new episode every week!
We review Buffy from our perspective as longtime fans, but we try to keep the podcast spoiler-free for the benefit of those watching the show for the first time. Our critique centres marginalized perspectives, and we are not afraid to criticize the show’s legacy when it comes to feminism, gender and sexuality, and race. But we are doing it from a place of love and plenty of laughter.
