Feature List

VSNS Lemon is a blog. Consequently, it does most things that blogs should do. That is, you can write articles and people can leave comments. If you aren't sure what blogs do, then why are you considering downloading one?

That being said, here's a list of features VSNS Lemon offers as of version 4. Features marked with an asterisk require JavaScript enabled. 1)

  • Admin CP
    • Create and edit articles. Use the live preview* to see how your article will look before you publish it.
    • Edit and approve your readers' comments. Enable the comment queue if you want to approve comments before they appear. The queue can be toggled for individual articles.
    • Ban troublesome IP addresses.
    • Upload, configure, or delete emoticons that you can use in articles and comments.
    • Change your settings–no mucking about with configuration files!
    • Check for updates to VSNS Lemon
  • Articles
    • Create important articles that appear above your regular articles. You can set them to expire on a certain date and automatically revert back to regular articles.
    • Save your articles and publish them at a later date.
    • A formatting toolbar* and new, wiki-style syntax makes formatting articles a breeze. No more mucking about with HTML when you don't need to.
    • Force readers to enter a password to read the article or to leave a comment.
    • Group your articles by category and attach subject tags to keep them organized.
  • Comments
    • Email notification lets you know when someone's left their two cents.
    • The new syntax removes the need to let readers use HTML in comments, which makes your site more secure. You can even disable images in comments.
    • Anti-spambot measures and flood control help keep the spam out.
    • Use the optional word filter to keep your comments clean
  • And more:
    • An RSS feed of your latest 10 articles lets readers know when you post a new entry!
    • Use the search engine to find your favourite articles and comments!
1) VSNS Lemon is fully functional without JavaScript, however, which is just used to enhance existing features.
