I began learning PHP in order to automate certain parts of my site, particularly my news section. The first script I developed was a primitive news publishing system. At the behest of a friend I polished up the source code, added some improvements, and released it to the world. Thus was the Very Simple News System born. Since then I've created a few other useful scripts.

These scripts all began as projects for this site; I needed something and couldn't find a suitable script already made. I offer them for download principally for those who are interested and not because I consider them excellent scripts. If you need a lightweight solution to blogging, a poll, or otherwise, then sure, try them out. Or if you're looking to develop a similar script and need some ideas, go ahead and download! All of my scripts are licenced under the GNU General Public Licence, incidentally.

This wiki contains information about each of my scripts as well as documentation. The documentation project is ongoing and incomplete. If you've used my scripts and would like to contribute, register and start contributing.

VSNS Lemon is the first PHP script I wrote and released. It's a simple but robust blog with an Admin CP, comments, RSS feed, and friendly URIs. Version 4 is completely redone in OOP and includes several new features, such as a search engine.

You Choose Create and manage polls for your entire website. Add as many polls to a page as you want, or display a poll at random.

Vanilla Guestbook lets visitors rate your site and leave a comment. The Admin CP allows you to preview comments before approving them, and pagination keeps the page length readable.
