===== VSNS Lemon ===== In today's world of 21st century technology, where the Internet is a household name that conjures up images of "message board communities", and "e-commerce", the "blog" is becoming increasingly popular. A plethora of blog scripts, hosts, and options have flourished to support this community of "bloggers" who seek to "blog" about "blog-worthy" events. Unfortunately when I first started blogging, I wasn't aware of any of this. I updated my site's index manually, and then when I started learning PHP, I started playing with dynamically updating the news and storing it in a database. Eventually some people asked me how I did it and urged me to tweak it and release it for public download. I didn't know about WordPress; had I, I probably wouldn't have created my own blog script. That was two years ago, give or take. It's come a long way since then. I call it **VSNS Lemon**, and it is designed to be two things: functional and simple. It works, and it's easy to set up. If I tried to name you all individually then I'd end up forgetting half of you, which would cause horrible feuds, and the page would be too long. That being said, thank you: * Thomas Hatzer for originally urging me to release my news publishing script for others to see * Koolaidman for actually using VSNS Lemon and thus badgering me for updates even when I was too lazy to do them. * [[http://sethkinast.com/|Seth Kinast]] and [[http://jeremyprivett.com/|Jeremy Privett]] for their PHP expertise; Jeremy urged me to begin using OOP & PHP 5. * All the folks in ##php and #sql on [[http://freenode.net/|Freenode]] who answered my questions with patience and accuracy.
